Warner Bros Games Launches MultiVersus and Iconic Characters

announced the official launch of MultiVersus Game, a free-to-play platformfighter game, across consoles including PlayStation®5 (PS5™), PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. The game supports cross-play and cross-progression in full, allowing players to switch devices without losing their progress.

optioned by Player First Games with direct production and management support from Warner Bros. San Diego games MultiVersus features an ever-expanding roster of characters from various Warner Bros. franchises. Discovery. Debuting with "Season 1: Puns & Villainy", the game added new characters such as DC's The Joker, Jason Voorhees from Friday the 13th, Banana Guard from Adventure Time, and Agent Smith from The Matrix who would appear at a later date.

The launch of MultiVersus also introduced a new PvE (Player vs. Environment) mode called Rifts, which offers a different gaming experience than the PvP (Player vs. Player) competitive mode. Players can enjoy the game in a variety of re-adapted environments, including new maps inspired by Dexter's Laboratory and The Powerpuff Girls.

David Haddad, President of Warner Bros. Games, stated that their goal is to provide a fun and accessible gaming experience for both casual and competitive players with continually improving gameplay elements, which can be enjoyed alone or with friends. Tony Huynh, Co-Founder and Game Director at Player First Games, added that the team is excited about the launch, noting they have put a lot of attention into each character to make them feel special with a unique set of moves and combat mechanics.

New characters such as The Joker, Jason Voorhees, Banana Guard, and Agent Smith join an existing roster of characters including Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Harley Quinn, and DC's Black Adam; Shaggy and Velma from Scooby-Doo; Bugs Bunny, Tasmanian Devil (Taz), and Marvin the Martian from Looney Tunes; Arya Stark from Game of Thrones; Tom & Jerry; Finn the Human and Jake the Dog from Adventure Time; Steven Universe and Garnet from Steven Universe; Iron Giant from Iron Giant; LeBron James from Space Jam: A New Legacy; Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith from Rick and Morty; Gizmo and Stripe from Gremlins; and an original character named Reindog. More characters will be added as part of future season updates.

MultiVersus offers a variety of play modes that can be enjoyed online or locally. Rifts mode provides a PvE experience with boss battles, mini-games, and unique rewards, as well as a way for players to learn game mechanics, test characters, and hone skills both playing alone and cooperatively online with friends. The game also has a 2 vs. 2 mode. 2, match 1 vs. 1, free-for-all for 4 players, co-op vs. A.I., dedicated online lobbies, The Lab (practice mode), tutorials, and local matches supporting up to four players.

Dynamic maps such as Dexter's Laboratory and City of Townsville with Mojo Jojo from The Powerpuff Girls, as well as other maps such as Batcave (DC), Tree Fort (Adventure Time), Scooby's Haunted Mansion (Scooby-Doo), and Sky Arena (Steven Universe) adds variety to the game.

Each character in MultiVersus features in-depth combat mechanics, as well as enhanced visuals and lighting that enhance the character to bring players closer to the action on screen. The game also uses rollback netcode created specifically to support online play and matchmaking.

Additionally, MultiVersus features top voice talent including Mark Hamill as The Joker, Kevin Conroy as Batman, Tara Strong as Harley Quinn, George Newbern as Superman, Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, Matthew Lillard as Shaggy, Estelle as Garnet, and more much more.

The official launch of MultiVersus brings a lot of expectations from the gamer community with various iconic characters and various game modes, ready to captivate the hearts of players around the world.
